Minnesota Freeze Men take the cup in Madison – a note from Coach Big Fisch

The Freeze men’s and women’s teams headed east to Madison to compete in our first away games for 2021. Feeling unsure as to what the competition would be like after nearly 2 years of no traveling games, we were met with good competitors in Denver B, Des Moines, Madison, Kansas City and St. Louis. Our undermanned Freeze women performed admirably with some new players having their first game. Denver came out on top, however the women have an amazing future with the performance I saw over the weekend. Freeze men played St Louis, then Chicago and finally Denver. With a clean sweep, winning all games and the tournament. It was a day of true grit, determination and courage as injury and exhaustion took its toll. To top off the days success “Fisch” (Brent Fischer) won the competition BEST ON GROUND for the tournament. I couldn’t be more proud of our boys who played from the heart and gutted it out to the end. Now our sites are on a home and away games against Des Moines and then Nationals  in Austin.

Carn the FREEZE!!!
