It’s time to get outside!!
The Minnesota Freeze will kick off our 2017 outdoor season on April 22. The training will take place at Lake Nokomis Field, near Cedar Ave & 50th St. This annual event is a club favorite and will feature a BBQ at 11:00 immediately after training.
We’ll start off with a fitness session, followed by a footy training session, tailored for all levels of ability. No experience necessary.
We start right at 9:00am so be there changed and ready to go.
Dress according to the weather. We train rain, hail, shine and yes (gulp) even snow, because we are The Minnesota Freeze!
WHAT TO BRING:
– Cleats (recommended) or running shoes
– Water
– Football (if you have one)
– Layers: the weather can be unpredictable and could be snowy, cold and rainy, or 70+ degrees.
– Friends: we always welcome new players. Bring a friend or two. The men’s team trains at the same time so your female friends are welcome as well.
To the veteran members of Freeze, we have some obligations to make this successful: bringing items for the picnic. Please look at the list of necessities. It is an easy signup. If you have any other ideas, let me know, we love good food. Please signup at here for what you are able to bring. Also, please bring appropriate utensil(s) to serve. If you or someone you know would like to provide help in grilling or set up, we need that too. Cleanup is also important, and we had trouble finding help for that, so please sign up cleanup duties too.
